Dr Mandy Sea

Dr Mandy Sea graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was awarded the Academic Creativity Award by the University for her graduation dissertation. Her major research interests are in nutrition, lifestyle, chronic diseases, weight management and the health quality of obese people. She developed the lifestyle modification program (LMP) which is a weight management program designed for obese people, is the first clinically validated weight management nutrition counseling program in Hong Kong. It has also been used by many clinical studies.

Dr Sea has worked on the field of weight management for more than 20 years. She has given thousands consultation for local and overseas people. Apart from research and clinical works, she has also been invited to teach for varies professional and master programs course programs. Dr Sea was being an inviting scholar of West China Hospital of Sichuan University. She was also played as reviewer and editor in some scientific journals.

Dr Sea also trains physicians, pharmacist, nurse, dietitians and nutritionists in nutrition counseling. Her professional society involvements include giving public lectures, writing nutrition and health articles and books.

Kenway is working as a Senior Nutritionist for more than 12 years and had taken care of more than 5,000 clients before. The first clinically proven and effective nutritional weight management counselling program — LMP (Lifestyle Modification Program) is used to help the clients in improving their health. Clients include those who need/have (i)improving fitness to reach maximum health potential, (ii)Weight loss/Weight gain, (iii)Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension, Gout, Chronic Diseases, (iv)Indigestion, (v) Pregnant women, Breastfeeding mothers, etc. The consultation involves the setting of different personalized diets (menus) and lifestyle recommendations to clients. The clients include children, adults, and the elderly.

She has been invited to various commercial organizations, schools, and community centers to provide lectures and film videos on healthy eating as to promote nutrition education. In the past, she also participated in the training of newly recruited Nutritionists. Recently she has been invited to give nutritional talks on Special Education Need children for parents and healthcare workers. She also participated in making cooking videos for elders with the team of Jockey Club Age-friendly City project.

In recent years, she completed the 8-week MBCT Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, as well as a course in Integrated Mindfulness into Counseling Practices. To build a healthier body and mind, she believes that healthy lifestyle, as well as developing self-awareness are all indispensable cornerstones. She is passionate in helping clients reach their maximum health potential and know the relationship between healthy eating and mood. She also believes that everyone can take a step forward to improve their physical fitness and make their bodies healthier!

Bonnie started her career in the area of food sciences, which she worked for food companies with the experience of leading in food safety management systems. Moreover, she has profession in the area of nutrition. She has worked for CUHK Centre for Nutritional Studies as a nutritionist. She is well experienced in one on one cases for nutrition consultation in weight management and healthy eating, which meal plan is assigned to develop healthy lifestyle.

Furthermore, she participated in nutrition education projects, which includes nutrition talks for different level of audience, especially teenagers. Also, in the development of a mobile phone application “The Wellness Tracker hk” in 2014 that includes a Hong Kong food database and daily food record. Cook book development for elderly named “Cook Book For Sacropenia Prevention” to educate elderly and home caretaker on daily protein consumption. Also, she wrote articles and done interviews on nutrition for the publicity: Oriental Daily Newspaper, Apple Daily Newspaper, Ming Pao Magazine etc.

Cecilia has previously worked as a dietitian at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with experiences in providing personalised nutrition consultation especially in weight management. She also has clinical experience in providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to hospitalised elderly patients with various diseases including malnutrition, diabetes, cancer, etc…and able to provide personalised diet plans to help people to make healthier food choices and live a healthier life using evidence-based practice. Cecilia hopes to encourage people to develop a healthy eating habit and make it enjoyable!
